During fair weather, reviews for graduating recruits take place
on Porter Field, shown here, and in inclement weather, Drill
Hall 1200 is used. Adding to the color and pageantry of these
reviews is the presence of the Great Lakes Navy Band, and the
all-recruit Drill Team, Drum and Bugle Corps, 50-State Flag
Team, and Bluejacket Choir. USNTC is located on Lake Michigan,
35 miles north of downtown Chicago and four miles from
Waukegan.
