DOWNTOWN ORANGEBURG
South Carolina
Aerial view of the center of downtown Orangeburg
looking west. Orangeburg was settled in the 1730's
at the intersection of two Indian paths and named
for William, Prince of Orange. The community was
the scene of both Whig and Tory Revolutionary
