Fleet. Built by North Carolina Shipbuilding Co.
at Wilmington, N.C. The ship is named for the
Eldorado mountain range in the State of Ne-
vada. Commissioned on 25 August, 1944 at the
New York Naval Shipyard, Brooklyn, New
York.
