A Fast Frigate honoring Lieutenant John C. Brewton,
USNR, who was awarded the Silver Star while serving as
Platoon Officer of a U.S. Navy SEAL team in South Viet-
nam. USS BREWTON was built by Avondale Shipyards In-
corporated of Westwego, Louisiana and commissioned on
8 July 1972.
