PERMIAN BASIN EMPIRE
The Permian Basin Empire, had 92,000 pro-
ducing oil and gas wells on January 1, 1965.
Total oil production in 1964 was 570 million
barrels. Total proven reserves are 7,500,000
barrels which is 38% of the total Texas,
New Mexico reserves and 19.4% of the
United States reserve. These tank farms are
a familiar sight thruout the Permian Basin
Area.
