MALCO REFINERY
Artesia, New Mexico
Oil was discovered in the spring of 1923 and
oil refineries, huge storage tanks, and pipe lines
are a major industry of this area. This vertical
cracking plant is one of the tallest in the world
and is a well known landmark.
