Recruits hear orientation lecture on U.S. Navy regulations.
USNTC, Great Lakes, is located on the shores of Lake
Michigan, 35 miles north of Chicago and four miles from
Waukegan. This facility was established in 1911, and is
the oldest and largest of its kind in the U.S. Its essential
role is the recruit training of new inductees and the
operation of service schools for student Navy personnel.
