joyfully welcome Your Gracious Majesty and our Beloved Queen to our town and are
happy to have the privilege, which the occasion offers, of pledging our loyalty and devotion.
n 1878 we were honoured by a brief visit from Her Royal Highness, the Princess
Louise, and her husband, the Marquis of Lorne, while on their way to Ottawa to take
up their duties as representatives of the Crown. Chis occasion is epoch making
as it is the first time that we have been honoured by a visit from the Sovereign of
the Realm.

interchanged between their schools. Your visit will serve to strengthen the bond
or parents.
