Picture shows World War I artillery shell damage to the bell tower of the first evangelical church in Munich. It was demolished in June 1938, to allegedly widen the road. However, the urging of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime's animosity toward the regional bishop Hans Meiser may have been the real reason.
