Situated on the center of Coeur d'Alene's city beach,
the Civic Center is a huge structure built with five miles
of native logs. A Mecca for conventions, public gatherings
and indoor ball games, the Center was converted to as
USO club during wartime, at which more than one million
servicemen were entertained.
