MISS ALICE ROOSEVELT is the President's vuly
child by his first wife who was Miss Alice Lee of Boston.
Miss Alice was born in 1884 and was less than three years of
age when her father married for the second time. She made
her formal debut in society at the White House when between
17 and 18 years old, and since that time has visited all parts
of the United States, Hawaii, Porto Rico, Japan, China and
the Philippines. On Feb. 17, 1906 she became the wife of
Congressman Nicholas Longworth.
