The Pagoda. Eden Gardens. The Eden Gardens are
of beautifully laid-out grounds, and were for many years the
gathering-place in the evening of the fashionable society
of Calcutta. In the Gardens is the Calcutta Cricket Ground,
and on the side of the water is a picturesque Burmese
Pagoda, brought from Prome and set up in 1856.
