Recon planes of this type are now widely used in
combat to direct troops, armor and hispeed jets in
areas where targets cannot be sighted from the
ground. Such light aircraft, flying low and at slow
speed, are extremely vulnerable to enemy fire and
men who fly them have one of the most dangerous
jobs in modern warfare.
