WENTE VINEYARDS AT LIVERMORE
Stretching for 500 acres over the gravelly soil of
California's famous Livermore Valley, the Wente
vineyards are among the most celebrated of this
country.

blind-testing and judging at the 1947 California
State Fair. Wente wines received seven first places
-six gold medals and one silver-with another
silver, bronze, and an honorable mention thrown
