BALCLUTHA-Historic World Trader restored by the
San Francisco Maritime Museum Association is one
of the world's most interesting Maritime Exhibits -
Scottish built in 1886, she is the last of the
"Famous Cape Horn Fleet" - in her sailing days
made 17 voyages "Around the Horn'' hauling all
types of cargo from every important port of call
in the world - sailed under 3 flags- wrecked
near Kodiak Island in 1904 was salvaged and
completed another quarter century of service in
the Alaska "Star" Fleet - for 20 years until re-
stored, was exhibited as a "Pirate Ship" open to
the public near Fisherman's Wharf.
