WHITE MOUNTAINS, NEW HAMPSHIRE
The Flume Gorge with its sheer perpendicular
walls rising 50 to 75 feet in height is approxi-
mately 400 feet long and was worn out of solid
rock by the turbulent mountain stream which
plunges through it.
