Historic Douglas Entrance was built in 1926 as the
main entrance to the developing city of Coral
Gables. Threatened by the bulldozer in the sixties,
Douglas Entrance was purchased and renovated
by the firm of Ferendino/Grafton/Spillis/Candela,
Architects-Engineers-Planners, for use as the firm's
corporate headquarters. Douglas Entrance was
listed on the National Register of Historic Places
in 1973.
