WASHINGTON STATE VETERANS' HOME
RETSIL, WASHINGTON
Commissioned February 22, 1910 to furnish a
Home for the welfare and comfort of indigent
veterans of any war of the United States. Wives
or widows of veterans are also eligible for mem-
bership. Accommodations and services supplied
are single or double rooms with furniture, utili-
ties, meals, laundry, recreation, and medical care
includes a 134-bed hospital and 40-bed hospital
annex, attended by two full time physicians and
staff. Available to members at the Home are
snack bars, post office, beauty parlor, barber
shop, P. X. store and transportation to local
communities and veterans' hospitals.
