Located on Roosevelt Road (Alternate U. S. 30) and Campbell Avenue in Wheaton, Illinois, 25 miles west of Chicago, the Church by the Side of the Road has had a remarkable growth since being started in 1952. It is affiliated with The Evangelical Free Church of America. Wilbur E. Nelson, well known director of the Morning Chapel Hour Broadcasts, has recently arrived from California to be the pastor. Sunday services are held at 9:30 a.m. (Sunday School), 10:45 a.m. (morning worship) and 7 p.m. (evening service). The midweek meeting is Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. A parking lot for 300 cars is adjacent to the church. Visitors are always welcome. |
