DIABLO INCLINE RAILWAY
SKAGIT HYDROELECTRIC PROJECT
This incline railway, driven by a 400-horsepower
electric motor and with a lifting capacity of
158,000 pounds, lifted all the materials and equip-
ment for Ross Dam and Powerhouse, 313 feet up the
mountainside to the level of Diablo Lake.
