Engineering Building.-The picture
gives a good idea of the beautiful sur-
roundings of the various buildings of
the University of California. Quiet and
repose is the dominating feeling when
one enters the campus. It is backed by
the Berkeley hills and well sheltered
by a splendid grove of eucalyptus trees,
while the semi-tropical growth and
lighter verdure form a graceful setting
for all the buildings.
