Mission La Purisima Concepcion

| Founded December 8, 1787, La Purisima was destroyed by earthquake in 1812. Rebuilt on a new site it prospered until under secularization it fell into decay. Acquired by the State in 1934 it is now an historic monument and has been restored with care and precision on the lines of the original. |
