DAVID BROWN HALL. This dormitory, a gift of Mrs.
David Brown in memory of her husband, was erected in
1891 on the plan of a Florentine Renaissance palace, the
first two stories being of granite, the two upper ones of
Pompeiian brick. The Hall, built at the edge of Prospect
Gardens, is a hollow square with a courtyard 67 by 44 feet,
and contains 50 suites of rooms.
