K-194 ST. ANNE'S CATHOLIC CHURCH Columbia State Park, California Still standing high on a hill, this is thought to be the first brick church in California. Father Slatterly was the first priest, when the church was completed in 1856. The bell, at a cost of $1500, was brought around the "Horn" and added to the belfry in 1857.
