Powell and Market, San Francisco. An inter-
section remembered by millions of past visi-
tors takes on a new appearance. Escalators
are to and from the Powell Street Bart
station. The entire northwest corner of this
intersection has been reconstructed to acco-
mmodate the new system and at the same
time to maintain the Cable Cars of the old
system.
