During the government of Dr. Zayas, this park and monument was constructed. The palace is beautiful and well decorated. From the tower a nice panorama is seen. Recently on the other side, facing the entrance of the port, a wide esplanade with gardens and palm avenues has been constructed following the Cespedes plan of embellishing Havana.
