Chief among the highways of Geneva are Main and South Main
Streets, which, for more than two miles southward, are bordered
by dignified and costly homes in interesting types of architecture,
each having its broad spaces of greensward and ornate shrubbery;
those upon the lake side generally extend down the slope to
the water's edge.
