Chapman Hall - Mount Union College
Additional Details:
This building over 100 years old is an excellent example of mid-nineteenth century architecture. Salmon P. Chase, Lincoln's Secretary of the Treasury and later appointed Chief Justice gave the dedicatory address. Commenting, "He had seen few college edifices so fine anywhere and none of Ohio" The Hall is named in honor of Professor Ira O. Chapman who was associated with the college for over 30 years. It now houses faculty offices and recitation rooms. |
