TIMKEN VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
CANTON, OHIO
Serves vocational education in 17 areas of training for
business and industry, and was the gift of the Timken
Foundation. The new school was completed in 1939 on
the site of old Central High. This half acre plot has
been in continuous use for educational purposes since.
the early 1800's. The school colors are blue and gold,
the athletic teams are known as the Trojons and the
school annual is called the TI V O. The function of
T.V.H.S. was aptly described by Mr. H. H. Timkin, Sr.,
founder of the Timken Foundation "To fit particularly
the young people who do not and can not go to college,
to be in a better position to gain a livelihood."
