The highlight of the 1953 social season in
Newport was the marriage on Sept. 12th of
Senator John F. Kennedy to Jacqueline Lee Bouvier.
Archbishop Cushing officiated at the Wedding
Ceremony in St. Mary's Church. Insert shows
President and Mrs. Kennedy leaving St. Mary's
after mass during a visit to Newport in 1961.
