ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH Market and
Seventh Streets, Zanesville, Ohio. Organized May
5, 1839 by German immigrants. The present edifice,
a striking example of pure Gothic architecture,
built of mingled shades of brick trimmed with art
stone was dedicated September 12, 1927. St.
John's is a fellowship of Christian believers after
the Lutheran Church in America tradition.
