HEROIC STREET CREWS STICK TO THEIR POSTS
DESPITE DEBILIATING JANUARY HEAT
By Wearing light clothing and straw hats they were able to
escape heat prostrations.
This photograph was taken on the streets of Minneapolis
Jan. 20, 1908, and appeared in the JOURNAL of the following
date. The men were working despite the temperature of 600.
