MOUNT ANTHONY. The scenery around Bennington
is as attractive now as when the pioneer'' rode leisurely over
the hills. In early spring the green fringe of foliage at the
foot of Mount Anthony (2,345 feet high) creeps slowly to the
top; in summer the sunrise over the eastern mountain gilds
each morning with renewed brightness; autumn throws her
mantle of gorgeous colors over the ragged sides; and winter
silvers the summits with the frosts of departing years.
