THE WALTHAM WATCH FACTORY. The factory of the
Waltham Watch Company consists of a five-story brick building
with a series of adjoining wings. It has a frontage of nearly
800 feet on Crescent Street and the rear overlooks the pictu-
resque Charles River. Several million dollars have been
expended since the first building was erected in 1853. Besides
the mechanical department, it has an astronomical equipment,
equal, if not superior, to anything of the kind in the world.
