The SEASPRITE is a high speed helicopter
which will be used by the Navy for a wide
range of search, rescue, cargo and transport
missions with the fleet at sea. Representing
a major advance over existing helicopters,
the turbine-powered SEASPRITE will replace
existing Navy utility helicopters. In addition
to its speed, the SEASPRITE has long range
and will be able to operate in all types of
weather to accomplish its job of supporting
widely dispersed Naval units. The SEA-
SPRITE can also carry extensive electronic
gear for the detection and attack of sub-
marines, in addition to its standard electronic
navigation and stabilization equipment.
