The Consultation. The doctors, astrologers and
magicians of Morocco have been always famous, and
nearly all the medicine-men of the Thousand-and-One-
Nights, including Aladdin's uncle, are from the Maghreb.
Sometimes their remedies work too drastically, as for
instance the headache of Sultan Muley-Abdel-Aziz, which
was treated by an explosive which went off, His Majesty
narrowly escaping.
