POST OFFICE
Midland, Texas
The growth of Midland is shown in Post Office receipts for
the last twenty years. Under $200,000.00 for 1945, an
estimate of $1,500,000.00 for 1965. Midland on the
southern edge of the Staked Plains, is halfway between
Fort Worth and El Paso. This city with modern skyline is
growing daily and production of petroleum and gas is
the sustaining influence on the economy, but Agriculture
plays a major role.
