KIRKLAND HALL
VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY - NASHVILLE, TENN.
Almost 150 varieties of trees are found on the
76 acres comprising the Campus of Vanderbilt
University, in the west end of Nashville.
Kirkland Hall, University administrative center,
is a fireproof structure, built in 1906 after a fire
the year before, had partially destroyed the
original building completed in 1875.
Near the main entrance to the Hall, is a statue
of Cornelius Vanderbilt, the founder; and, for the
information of strangers, two main City bus lines
reach the Campus.
