The War Relic Museum is located on the 4
north end of Lookout Mountain at the en-
trance to the Government Park. Here you
will find on display many interesting relics of
the Civil War, as well as relics that have been
collected at considerable expense from vari-
ous parts of the country. Among the collec-
tion you will see Grant's chair, Thomas' table,
Confederate Flag, and the one-horse shay
used by the first Governor of Michigan.
You will also see and may register your
name in the largest book of its kind in the
world-this book weighs 400 pounds and
cost $425.00 to produce. Many prominent
people from all parts of the world have regis-
tered their names in this book.
The War Relic Museum is delightfully at-
tractive, clean and inviting and you will enjoy
spending considerable time here. The line of
Souvenirs and Novelties is the most attractive
in the South.
No trip is complete without a visit to this
museum.
It is a 15-minute drive by auto from Chat-
tanooga over a concrete highway to Point
Park on the summit of Lookout Mountain.
