Miss Indian America was chosen at the annual celebra-
tion. This is a national contest with many girls com-
peting before and during All American Indian Days.
The Miss Indian America contest is not one of beauty
alone. Judges look for poise, Indian characteristics,
scholastic abilities, and dedication towards her own
people. This Inter-racial Project of Human Relations
is new in concept and tradition . . . and is located in
the heart of the Indian Country
adding to its
unusual effect. LOCATED IN SHERIDAN, WYOMING,
the heart of America's playland.
