Main structure rebuilt from the old St.
Francis de Sales Church, which was erected
in 1854. Remodelled with additions 1925-27.
Museum formally opened, 1928. Contains
magnificent collection of historical relics,
including oldest known Stars and Stripes
American flag; the famous Spargo collection
of Bennington Pottery and the Hall Park
McCullough of Revolutionary relics and
manuscripts.
