This old House, located between
Bennington and the Battle-field, is cut
almost squarely in the center by the
boundary line between the States of
Vermont and New York. The farm
lies in two States, three Counties (Ben-
nington, Washington and Rensselaer)
and four Towns (Bennington, Hoosick,
Shaftsbury and White Creek). Note
the pattern on the house made by the
peculiar laying of the brick, in Fle-
mish Bond.
