DOMESTIC: HELEN HUNT'S GRAVE Helen Hunt Jackson, one of America's famous novelists and poets, was laid to rest on the side of Cheyenne Mountain in South Cheyenne Canon, near Colorado Springs. It was her desire that tourists visiting her grave should deposit two stones on the heap that forms her monument and take one away as a souvenir. Her Indian novel, “Ramona," is is one of her best known works. From the top of Seven Falls, in South Cheyenne Canon, to Helen Hunt's grave is a dis- tance of three-fourths of a mile.
