FISK MEMORIAL CHAPEL was built by means
of a legacy from General Clinton B. Fisk,
(for whom the University is named), which in
accordance with the wishes of the family,
was devoted to the erection of a memorial
building. The University was founded in 1865.
It is supported by an endowment and by
annual gifts from people all over America.
The University grants A.B., A.M., and Mus.B.
degrees.
