The "Mormon" Tabernacle was designed and
built under the direction of Brigham Young. Its
accoustics are truly wonderful. It is one of the
largest buildings erected for religious worship in
the world. It is 250 by 150 feet and 80 feet high.
The arches of the roof rest upon 44 stone piers
and have no center support. The building has a
seating capacity of 8,000. It houses one of the
greatest pipe organs in existence.
