Still under construction, the Cathedral will fulfill George
Washington's dream of "a church for national purposes.
The area and elevation of the Cathedral Close are the same
as Solomon's Temple Plateau above Jerusalem. (Length
525 feet, total area 75,000 square feet.) The Cathedral
is now the last resting place of the late Woodrow Wilson
and other eminent Americans.
