Fully equipped for field service, this Cor-
poral of the 6th Pennsylvania Battalion typi.
fied the men of the Continental Line at their
best. His badge of rank is the green worsted
epaulet on the right shoulder. His canteen
of iron bound wood, his canvas haversack,
painted canvas knapsack, and the buff
leather cross belts are in good condition and
properly adjusted. He is armed with
French musket and bayonet. The blue coat
faced red, later became the official uniform
for all Pennsylvania troops.
