Stanford's Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC),
located in the hills to the west of Stanford's
main campus near Palo Alto, California. It con-
tains a two-mile long electron accelerator, the
world's most powerful, operated as a national
facility by Stanford University for the U.S.
Atomic Energy Commission.
We have made a reservations for
your party on the June 14 tour of
SLAC, which starts at 9:31 a.m. with
a talk in Memorial Auditorium on the
Stanford Campus, two miles from SLAC.
After the talk, busses will pick
participants up outside Memorial
Auditorium for the drive to SLAC. DO
NOT DRIVE YOUR OWN CAR TO SLAC;
THE BUSSES.
