This graceful structure, a memorial to a native
Californian who became one of San Francisco's
most distinguished bankers, is designed for under-
graduate use. It contains some of the most ad-
vanced and convenient systems for classification
and retrieval of knowledge. Architect was John
Carl Warnecke, a Stanford alumnus who also de-
signed the John F. Kennedy memorial in Arlington
National Cemetery.
