DISTANCE: 980 LIGHT YEARS. (1 LIGHT YEAR. .6 MILLION
MILLION MILES.) THIS GASEOUS NEBULA IS A PART OF OUR
OWN STELLAR MILKY WAY SYSTEM. IT CONTAINS BOTH DARK AND
BRIGHT NEBULOSITY. THE BRIGHT NEBULOSITY IS MADE LUMINOUS
BY THE LIGHT OF STARS WHICH EXCITE CERTAIN PARTS OF THE
NEBULA TO SHINE.
